A cup or bowl from an IRONCLAD healthy Chili recipe is an excellent Fall/Winter or Game-Day Meal for your family, friends, at home or tailgating. Chili can be served in paper coffee cups to serve your tailgating friends healthy chili for game-day. We in Mississippi enjoy going to Oxford, Mississippi and tailgating in the Grove. The Grove isn’t just your ordinary football game-day tailgating event, but more like a garden party or a soiree that men and women gather for a cocktail party before the game more than your ordinary tailgating event.

Keeping with the MAHA Movement, I have included my healthy chili recipe that is an excellent dish to prepare in for large gatherings or for meals that can be prepared ahead of time for the family during the week. What is even great, is the IRONCLAD, because it is lean meat, it is an easy meal with limited clean up needed. A great Chili recipe is like a fine bottle of wine, it improves over the next few days when the seasonings relinquish their savory flavors into a healthy chili dish.

I’m the dude in the middle on the steel crossarm working with one of my four line crews that I do on occasion. This week in May of 2015 was special because I was retiring after 35- years in June of that year as a Grid Engineer with ENTERGY Mississippi.

You heard firemen have the best recipes at the firehouse; this also extends to linemen during storm restoration work where I like to prepare my IRONCLAD Chili recipe that is healthy and easy to meal to prepare ahead of time for my crews at the end of storm restoration work. Served with whole wheat bread or rolls with garlic butter provides a perfect lunch or dinner to your hungry crew.

DELALLO Whole Wheat Spaghetti can also be purchased at Walmart and use IRONCLAD Chili as a sauce for great Chili Mac Dish.

A great option to use IRONCLAD Chili over spaghetti what we call Chili Mac Dish with Whole Wheat garlic butter French Bread.

Taking Up Remaining Chili for Later Use

Allow chili to cool and take the remaining chili from the pot and transfer to a glass or porcelain bowl for future meals. The glass or porcelain will prevent stains if a plastic bowl is used. I personally prefer to use glass or porcelain bowls for my leftovers for safety reasons and to go from refrigerator to microwave. It is safer to heat up food in a glass or porcelain bowl rather than a plastic bowl.

If your chili is served at a tailgate party, brown meat beforehand and add remaining ingredients into a crock- pot and heat at high heat for 3 hours before turning down the heat to low for serving temperature. For food safety, keep chili warm until serving and let cool for about an hour before transferring to a glass or porcelain bowl to keep cold until served again.
