Three of the top New Year’s Resolutions that are made are: (1) Lose weight, (2) Get into better shape, and (3) Improve one’s Finances.
I developed my business, BAJA Sports Page for Health & Fitness, to help people fulfill the top two New Year’s Resolutions that are critical because one of the biggest assets we have in life is our health, fitness, and how we present ourselves. There is one thing about our health and fitness, there aren’t any lines that we can get in where we can purchase our health and fitness. We can only invest in our health and fitness as well as our finances.
Our health and fitness is accented by how we dress. I am surprised how people dress even when going to the grocery store or on vacation. I dress as if I am doing a photoshoot for one of my health and fitness articles. I agree totally with our Transpiration Secretary Sean Duffy concerning our people’s dress going out even for an errand. Even when I work on my farm I always like to dress as if I was posing for a farming article.

Even when I am going for a ride on my INDIAN Scout Bobber 60, I am dressed in my blue jeans, khaki shirts, engineer boots, and leather flight jacket going to and from our hangar.

Focus on Your Diet First
Before you hit the gym after January to fulfill your New Year’s Resolutions to work on your health and fitness consider this one fact, 80- percent of your health and fitness will consist of your diet. When I work out in my personal gym, I can burn approximately 540 calories over a 60- minute workout and after-burn. Here’s why I focus on diet, just a McDonald’s Big Mac contains 560 calories; and remember not all calories are created equal in terms of how our bodies process calories.
So, you want a diet that is based on foods that will turn your body into a calorie-burning juggernaut where your body is doing the major part for you instead of you sweating it out in a gym. My Catabolic Diet allows you to use standard nutrition labels to allow your body to use your food as energy instead of storing your food as fat.
The Catabolic Diet is high in Protein, Fiber, Probiotic, complex carbohydrates, and the essential Omega-3 and 6 fats we need. The Catabolic Diet helps you avoid food with high Saturated and Trans-fats, and the added sugars. But the Catabolic Diet also identifies the real booby trip, or those saboteurs of diets, simple carbohydrates that are those hidden sugars that are a major cause of weight gain.
Another Benefit of the Catabolic Diet- Younger Looking Skin
Another benefit of a diet high in Protein, Fiber, and Omega- 3 and 6 fats- Consuming protein, fiber, and balanced omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids promotes younger-looking skin. Protein supports collagen production for firmness and elasticity. Fiber aids gut health, reducing inflammation and enhancing nutrient absorption for a clear glow. Omega-3s hydrate, fight inflammation, and protect against UV damage, while omega-6s maintain barrier function. Together, they minimize wrinkles and boost radiance. Also add three essential supplements to your daily routine, add Olive Oil with chopped garlic and Acidophilus that provides weight lost and healthy age-defying looking skin:

Shrinking Waistline
Your skin, eyes, and hair are what people focus and noticed the most; but a very close fourth place is the waistline. I personally DO NOT weigh myself as part of my health statistics, but rather I measure my waistline as a better gauge of my health and fitness; I will explain later under FITNESS. A Healthy waistline is easy to figure, by taking your height in inches and simply divide by a factor of two. In the feature and the below photographs, I am 68 years old with a 29.25- inch waistline.
Below is my Waistline Chart from 2014 and 2015, where I still maintain a 29.25- inch waistline:
The Catabolic Diet also dropped my blood pressure, glucose, total cholesterol, as well as my waistline. Below are my health numbers without being on any prescribed medication:
Blood pressure- 115/69
Blood Glucose- 109 (Non-Fasting)
Total Cholesterol- 158
Waistline- 28.50″
Weight- 148 Lbs.
BMI- 18.75
Remember– The gauge of the success of a diet isn’t the weight and numbers you are able to drop; but the weight and numbers that you can keep low over the long-run, like decades.
Successful diet consists of eating between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and knowing the Metabolic Analytics Catabolic Score from using the standard nutrition label and using 9- data points:
Importance of Your FITNESS
While Cardio and aerobics exercises get the lion’s share of attention, don’t neglect strength training for a variety of health issues- Muscle burn calories, especially added muscle to the tune of 50 calories per day per pound of muscle. But something that muscles don’t get the credit for that is huge- younger looking skin, not by just years, but decades younger. When working with strength training, your muscles produce a natural growth hormone that contains collagen that replaces your body’s cells at a faster pace.
After age 30, collagen and cell replacement starts to slow down to a point cell replacement and collagen production just stops accelerating the aging process. Strength training turns this aging process on its head where you can avoid the ravages of aging by decades. And guys (men and women) it is never too late to start strength training in your current fitness training.
Above, is a photoshoot taken in September of 2025, at age 68, to promote our Southern Classic Car & Airshow we held in November to honor Veterans. I and posing with one of my models, Tiffany in her mid-20’s. Next year I will be turning 69, one year away from my being 70.
In my BAJA Sports Page Health & Fitness, I pose for photoshoots and produce sports and fitness training videos, so it is critical that I focus on my health and fitness, especially at age 68.
Among these top three New Year’s Resolutions, are 12 points that can change your life:
Here are 12 Point Investment Plan that can significantly change our life:
1. Start an IRA, a 401-(k) plan, and/or 529 College Saving Plan and contribute at least 10% of your weekly/monthly income to the plan. Direct deposit is the best method, because it is automatic.
2. Get at least an associate’s degree or Vo-Tech Trade Degree or even both.
3. Learn a trade or develop a hobby, in addition to your Degree, Step No. 2. This can become your second career when you retire. The very worst thing you can do is to retire to nothing. I would suggest before attending a college or university, attending a Vo-Tech Trades College first.
4. Develop a close friendship with at least one person not related to you that you can confide in with confidence.
5. Pick an athletic or sport (my is golf) activity that has a competitive component to compliment your fitness workout as an incentive.
6. Read at least five books a year.
7. Have a daily devotion with meditation.
8. Have a fitness program, consisting of Cardio, Aerobics, Strength training.
9. Develop a balanced diet program, based on IRONCLAD-150 FITNESS & CATABOLIC Diet Program. This is a very inexpensive Program that pays huge dividends in fitness and weight loss. This is a high Fiber/Protein, with Omega-3, Probiotic Diet from normal foods you purchase in grocery stores or restaurants. Fiber, Protein, and Omega-2 are essential to healthy skin.
10. Take a 30-minute walk each day and have in addition a routine Exercise program that includes strength training planned for at least 3 to 4 x per week. It needs to include a strength component to release collagen from your muscles.
11. Drink at least 2 cups of coffee or hot tea each day and plenty of water.
12. Write at least one article per week covering an activity you are interested in (e.g., sports, hobby, your career, technology, or inspirational). You don’t have to submit or post it for publication but use it for your own mental development. This also helps a person’s cognitive ability.
As I mentioned earlier, I produce training videos like my Orange Bucket Challenge where a local Television Station (WJTV-12) sent a film crew and their sports director to interview me for one of their Sports ZONE Shows in June of 2023. I did my 295- yard Tee Shot where I placed 5- Tee shots within 15 feet of a Home Depot Orange Bucket. Because the film crew wanted to use just one setup to capture the entire T-shot, I used my special practice golf balls that travel in feet instead of yards where we could use a local high schools practiced field, I would like to thank Germantown High School for letting us use their practice field below:
These 12- Points will change your entire life and enjoy the peace of mind and contentment that comes from these 12- Points.
One of my hobbies is welding that I learned while attending a Vo-Tech College 15 months before I retired in 2015 that I enjoy doing. A good hobby is one where you lose track of all time.
